Who: Frazee Dream Center
Where: Greenville, SC
What: The Frazee Dream Center is a preschool, after school, and summer program that offers assistance to under resourced children in downtown Greenville. Owned and operated by Jenny and Matt Reeves, the Center relies on volunteers and mentors to encourage academic support, character development, sportsmanship, and emotional wellness.
How: The Frazee Center offers academic classes for kindergarten through 5th grade and a hands-on after school program that gives kids the opportunity to participate in activities like wrestling and basketball. The Reeves, with the help of donors and volunteers, feed their students a hot meal every night. In an effort to encourage goal-oriented students, Jenny and Matt began a mentor program, recently named Mentor Upstate. The program has had great success since its start in 2013, reaching nearly 4 counties and pairing more than 600 children with mentors.
How FLOCK Supports:
House of Raeford Farms FLOCK supports the Frazee Dream Center because of its dedication to the lives and futures of children in the community. FLOCK saw an opportunity at the Frazee Center to offer a hand up by donating chicken to feed the children in need.
“When the center reached about 80 kids, FLOCK started bringing us the freshest, fattest chicken. It was gold to me! FLOCK has been a blessing to the Frazee Center. I cannot begin to think of the amount of money that their donations have saved us, we benefit weekly from their chicken. The hundreds and thousands of meals that FLOCK has provided me with is just amazing.” – Jenny Reeves
