House of Raeford Farms Announces a New Line of K-12 NAE Chicken Products & Breakfast Bites

House of Raeford Farms has announced a new line of products during the School Nutrition Association’s 2019 Annual National Conference (#anc19, booth 757) being held July 15 – 16 at the American Center Convention Complex in St. Louis.

This year House of Raeford’s showcase of new products includes a complete line of nutritious, healthy No Antibiotics Ever (NAE) chicken.  Prominent in the NAE products is our popular Pulled Rotisserie Chicken as well as Breakfast Bites – a pancake batter wrapped chicken sausage with uncured, maple flavored whole grain batter in classic and blueberry flavored options.  Both of these products are available with or without NAE chicken.

Rounding out our featured foods is a complete line of Whole Grain Chicken Mini-Corn Dog Nuggets made from whole muscle breast and thigh meat with sea salt and celery juice powder, eliminating the need for added preservatives, including nitrates and nitrites.

“House of Raeford Farms has been committed to providing school children with quality, nutritious food since the early 1980s. We’re excited to introduce these new lines of breakfast items, Pulled Rotisserie Chicken, Whole Grain Chicken Mini-Corn Dog Nuggets, and NAE products at the conference as more student-conscious options for schools and families,” said Karen Duke, government sales manager at House of Raeford.

In addition to being a cafeteria favorite, House of Raeford’s new NAE chicken products are compliant with the Smart Snacks in Schools’ guidelines from the Alliance for a Healthier Generation.

Our new NAE white and dark Pulled Rotisserie Chicken still retains its classic flavor and versatility that continues to make it a staple with school nutrition professionals. Its adaptable format allows for the easy creation of home-inspired entrees that kids enjoy.

“Pulled Rotisserie Chicken may be used in a variety of recipes making it a win-win for a healthy school lunch—all meat with no fillers, no antibiotics ever, and it’s allergen-free,” said Duke.

You can find House of Raeford-created recipes highlighting our versatile Pulled Rotisserie Chicken here. Each recipe complies with dietary standards established by the Healthy, Hunger-Free Kids Act of 2010, including reduced sodium, fat content, and transparent labeling.

At House of Raeford, we continue to work closely with our school nutrition partners to meet the health needs of their students, stay within budget and serve lunches that students enjoy. Through these relationships, we are able to gain valuable feedback in the development of new chicken products to serve the school nutrition marketplace.

House of Raeford is located at booth 757.  Stop by for a visit if you are at the show.
