House of Raeford Farms to Showcase Rotisserie Chicken and Mini Corn Dog Nuggets at School Nutrition Association’s National Conference

House of Raeford Farms is set to debut and showcase products designed with school nutrition in mind at the School Nutrition Association’s 2017 Annual National Conference, kicking off July 10 at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta.

House of Raeford will showcase a new rotisserie chicken product that meets school nutrition standards. The new product complies with dietary standards established by the Healthy, Hunger-Free Kids Act of 2010, including reduced sodium, fat content, and transparent labeling.

Karen Duke, government sales manager at House of Raeford, said the product not only meets rigorous menu guidelines but also maintains flavor and versatility, allowing it to be used in a variety of recipes.

“House of Raeford’s new rotisserie chicken is delicious, providing school nutrition professionals an adaptable format to recreate and offer home-inspired school entrées that encourage kid participation in the school lunch program,” Duke said. “It’s a win-win for a healthy school lunch – all meat, no fillers, and allergen free.”

House of Raeford will also showcase its whole-grain, lower sodium mini corn dog nuggets which have proven to be a favorite among kids. The chicken frank and whole-grain corn breading is produced in a peanut-free, tree nut-free facility, providing an alternative entrée to kids who suffer from peanut or tree nut allergies, while meeting dietary standards for school nutrition.

Duke said schools looking to do business with House of Raeford will benefit from the company growing, producing, and packaging its own products.

“We have the ability to be responsive to school customers and fast-track products,” Duke said. “We can be sensitive to customer needs and evolve our products to ensure they meet those standards.”

While this is the first year House of Raeford is attending the School Nutrition Show, the company has been committed to providing children with quality, nutritious food since the early 1980s. In addition to selling products with school nutrition in mind, House of Raeford Farms’ FLOCK has provided snacks to impoverished children attending school in the areas where House of Raeford operates. FLOCK has also sponsored a backpack program that sends food home with children who may have limited access to nutritional items outside of school hours.

The School Nutrition Association’s 2017 Annual National Conference will be held at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta on July 10-12. House of Raeford will be located at booth 2122, as shown in the map below. Stop by for a visit if you’re at the show!
