House of Raeford’s Hemingway Plant Achieves Major Food Safety Certification

House of Raeford Farms is pleased to announce that their Hemingway, SC further processing poultry plant has achieved SQF 2000 Code Level 3 certification as of September 30, 2010.

“We are motivated and committed to consistently supply our customers with safe, wholesome, quality foods”, said Robert Flagler, Hemingway’s plant manager. “This certification enables us to assure our customers that food has been produced, processed, prepared, and handled according to the highest possible standards, at all levels of the supply chain.”

The SQF (Safe Quality Food) program is a leading global food safety, quality certification and management system, designed to meet the needs of buyers and suppliers worldwide. It provides independent certification that a supplier’s food safety and quality management system complies with international and domestic food safety regulations.

House of Raeford’s Hemingway operation provides a wide variety of cooked poultry products including chicken nuggets, patties, breast tenders and fillets as well as chicken, turkey, pork, and beef mini corn dogs.
